Meet Advisory Council Member Mike Poletti

Kids Rock Cancer’s Advisory Council provides vital assistance with our efforts in the St. Louis community, helping to raise both awareness and support for Kids Rock Cancer.

Advisory Council member Mike Poletti of SSM Health shared his reasons for volunteering with Kids Rock Cancer.

How did you get involved with Kids Rock Cancer?

I was introduced to Kids Rock Cancer by Damon Harbison in 2015. He had asked me to volunteer and represent SSM Health Cardinal Glennon at a fundraising event for KRC, and I instantly fell in love with the program and its mission. Ever since that event, I have been doing whatever I can to help drive awareness and raise funds for this unique and fantastic program.

Why are you passionate about Kids Rock Cancer?

It is easy to be passionate about Kids Rock Cancer just by meeting and getting to know both the staff as well as the patients and their families. The difference this program produces in the eyes of these children is just remarkable! The talent and drive our staff have towards this program keeps me motivated to do whatever I can to help propel the program to the next level.

When I am not working or volunteering, I enjoy being outside at the family farm, playing golf or being on the lake with the family.
