An exciting new partnership with FormFast, a leader in eForms, electronic signature and workflow solutions for healthcare, will help Kids Rock Cancer manage its rapid growth with a collection of eForms and data tracking systems specifically tailored for the program’s unique needs.
Since its inception in 2009, Kids Rock Cancer has helped over 1,000 children, teens and young adults find healing through music. By working with a board certified music therapist, Kids Rock Cancer participants are able to give voice to the feelings that accompany their cancer or blood disorder diagnosis, and have the opportunity to record an original song — without ever having to leave their hospital bed.
The program continues to grow and, thanks to its generous funders, grants and ongoing donations, Kids Rock Cancer’s music therapy services are provided completely free of charge to patients and their families.
Due to Kids Rock Cancer’s rapid growth however, the nonprofit realized it needed to update its electronic storage and tracking system that would allow for a HIPAA-compliant management system of patient health information and session details.
These new eForms and data tracking systems will not only help Kids Rock Cancer work more efficiently, but will also allow for better data sorting, accurate reporting, reduced paper documentation and even more secure communication between music therapists.
“This partnership with FormFast will take Kids Rock Cancer to the next level and allow our music therapists to spend more time working with participants to create new songs,” senior music therapist Tracie Sandheinrich says. “These therapeutic songwriting opportunities are a tangible legacy for each and every Kids Rock Cancer participant.
“Each child we work with has a voice that needs to be heard — and a song that needs to be sung!”
